The service
Free collection in Oud Al Muteena, back tomorrow
Oud Al Muteena is the north-western end of our route, out past Al Mizhar, and collection is free on every street of all three sections. Most of the district opens straight onto the road, so in the ordinary case the driver needs a villa number and nothing else — no pass, no gate, no name left at an entrance. We call, we agree a time, and the van comes to you. Standard turnaround is 24 hours. The counter itself is in Al Khawaneej 2, which is further south — a fifteen-minute drive when the road is clear — so the 45-minute express press is worth planning a trip around rather than relying on.
- Free pickup and delivery

- Back tomorrow
- Standard turnaround is 24 hours: collected today, returned the next day. Carpets and rugs, curtains, shoes, bags, soft toys and strollers take 3 to 5 days.

About Oud Al Muteena
Oud Al Muteena is villa country on the northern edge of Dubai: three numbered sections of family houses running from Algeria Street across to the Sharjah border, most of them built under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment programme for Emirati families. There are no towers here and almost no flats. The RTA laid seven kilometres of internal roads through the first section in May 2020, the neighbourhood park opened in 2016, and another hundred and twenty homes here were approved in January 2025. It is a district still being added to.
Where we collect
The communities inside Oud Al Muteena
Every one of these is inside our collection area. The differences are at the door, not in what we can take.
- Oud Al Muteena 1
- The western block, off Algeria Street and around 31 Street, and the part of the district the housing programme built first. The Emirates Cooperative Society is on 31 Street and trades from seven in the morning until eleven at night. The park opened here in 2016 with a jogging track and three sport courts, and the RTA finished the seven kilometres of internal roads, lighting and pavements in May 2020.
- Oud Al Muteena 2
- The eastern block, around 220 Road, 222 Road and 9 Street. Al Khattal Masjid is on 222 Road and the second of the district's parks is on 220 Road. The everyday errands run along 9 Street, where the grocery and the barber are.
- Oud Al Muteena 3
- The northern strip, largely Dubai Police staff housing built as attached and semi-detached townhouses. The streets there are called Police Street 1 and Police Street 2, which is the quickest way to say where you are. This is the part that runs closest to the Sharjah line, and the very last streets against it sit right at the edge of our route — worth a word on the phone if that is you.
- The Sharjah edge
- The northern boundary is not a road. It is the emirate line itself, which is why the nearest hypermarket and one of the nearest secondary schools are both in Sharjah rather than in Dubai. Amman Street crosses the district east to west and Khartoum Street runs down the middle; between the two, most of Oud Al Muteena is reachable without leaving it.
What leaves the house
What a household in Oud Al Muteena sends out
These are family villas almost end to end, three to seven bedrooms with a majlis at the front and a laundry room at the back, so what leaves the house leaves at household scale: bedding from four or five rooms in one go, curtains by the floor, floor rugs, and the majlis textiles no home machine will take. Kanduras and abayas come through every week rather than occasionally, and they are the pieces where the finish is the whole job — a collar that sits, a hem that hangs, no shine on the shoulder. And because these are homes granted or allocated rather than rented, the district barely turns over. The household we collect from this month is the household we will be collecting from in three years, which is a good reason to get the first one right.
At the door
Getting to your door in Oud Al Muteena
Most of Oud Al Muteena opens straight onto the street, so the villa number and a phone that answers is usually the whole procedure. Coming from our side the approach is Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street out of Al Khawaneej; from the south it is Tunis Street. Inside, Amman Street runs east to west and Khartoum Street north to south, and between them a driver can find almost any address without a second call. The police housing along Police Street 1 and 2 in the north may work differently from the rest, so it is worth saying so when we ring. Telling us which of the three sections you are in places you faster than a street number does.
