The service
Free collection in Al Khawaneej 2, back tomorrow
Al Khawaneej 2 is the one area where you get a choice about how the laundry reaches us. The counter is here, so express pressing in 45 minutes is a walk-in, and anything that needs a person to look at it can be looked at while you stand there. Collection works the same as everywhere else and costs nothing: we call, we agree a time, and a driver comes to your gate. Standard turnaround is 24 hours; rugs and curtains take 3 to 5 days, because they have to dry right through.
- Free pickup and delivery
- Anywhere in Al Khawaneej 2, on every service we offer, all year. Free on every order above a small minimum — we tell you the exact figure on the confirmation call, before any driver moves, so there are no surprises at the door.
- Back tomorrow
- Standard turnaround is 24 hours: collected today, returned the next day. Carpets and rugs, curtains, shoes, bags, soft toys and strollers take 3 to 5 days.
- Nothing to weigh or count
- Hand it over as it is. We sort by fabric and colour at our end, and we count by the piece.

About Al Khawaneej 2
This is where our counter is. Al Khawaneej 2 sits east of Al Khawaneej 1, where the villa plots give way to farms and stables, and Union Coop opened Al Khawaneej Mall here in May 2025. Villas run to between three and seven bedrooms with a majlis, an outdoor kitchen and a walled garden, so curtains, rugs and majlis textiles arrive at a different scale to a flat.
Where we collect
The communities inside Al Khawaneej 2
Every one of these is inside our collection area. The differences are at the door, not in what we can take.
- The 1050 Villas Complex
- The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment built 1,050 homes here for Emirati families, in three sizes: 128 detached villas of about 5,080 square feet, 410 duplexes of about 4,490, and 512 townhouses of about 3,943. Handover began in June 2025, so many of these households are still moving in.
- The older villa plots
- Three- to seven-bedroom villas on plots of 5,000 to 15,000 square feet, individually owned and open to the street. Most come with a maid's room, a walled garden and a pool, and many have an outdoor kitchen off the majlis.
- The farms and stables
- Working smallholdings sit between the houses: nurseries, date plots, and stables for camels and horses. Al Rawabi Dairy runs its operation from here. This is the part of Dubai that has not been rebuilt yet.
- Around Al Khawaneej Mall
- Union Coop opened it in May 2025, about 70,000 square feet with a nursery, a bank and an ENOC station attached. It is the newest thing on this side of the district to give a driver as a landmark.
What leaves the house
What a household in Al Khawaneej 2 sends out
A villa here holds more textile than a flat ever does, and most of it is the kind a domestic machine cannot take. Floor rugs across a majlis, curtains that run the full height of a double-height window, and bedding from five or six rooms. Kanduras and abayas come through in numbers, which is its own job: a kandura wants length and a flat front, and an abaya has to keep its drape, so the two never go through the same finish. Households with a maid's room tend to send everything at once instead of a bag at a time, and because we count by the piece (wash & fold by the kilo), a big load costs what its pieces cost and nothing is weighed at your gate.
At the door
Getting to your door in Al Khawaneej 2
Almost nothing here is gated. The plots open onto the street, so a driver pulls up at your own gate and there is no guard to clear us through and no pass to leave at an entrance. That makes Al Khawaneej 2 the simplest collection we do, and it is also the shortest drive, because the counter is inside the same district. If a piece needs discussing, you can bring it in and we will look at it together instead of guessing over the phone.
